Dr Ajay Rana is a nationally respected Academic Leader, University Administrator, and Institution Builder with over 26 years of experience across school education, higher education, research, innovation, and industry–academia ecosystems.

He currently serves as Director General (Independent Campus) at Amity University Greater Noida, where he has led the campus and driven holistic transformation in academics, research culture, faculty development, industry partnerships, accreditation preparedness, and infrastructure growth.

Earlier, he served as Vice Chancellor of a Deemed-to-be University, where under his leadership the institution progressed to a new milestone, along with strengthened governance systems and enhanced national visibility.

Prof. Rana holds Ph.D. (Engineering), and M.Tech. (Engineering) degrees. He is a Fellow IETE & Senior Member of IEEE and Life Member of multiple prestigious professional bodies.

Prof. Rana, Ph.D., has been named to the prestigious list of the World's Top 2% Scientists published by Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier.

A prolific researcher and mentor, he has supervised 27 Ph.D. scholars, filed 108+ patents & Copywrite, published 306+ scholarly works in research and consultancy projects.

He also serves as Independent Director, Central Board of Secondary Education (Ministry of Education, Government of India), Board Member, Rajasthan Venture Capital Fund, and Chairman, AUN Research Labs, contributing actively to national education policy, innovation ecosystems, and institutional governance.
